Terms & Conditions

1. About us
worldpantry.uk is operated by Lorenzen Tonna Services Limited, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC602737, VAT number GB314369214, registered office at 5 South Charlotte St, Edinburgh EH2 4AN, United Kingdom. These terms govern your use of our site and any order you place with us.
2. How World Pantry works
There is no subscription, membership fee or recurring commitment of any kind. We import on demand every two weeks: you may build a basket from our range of imported vegan and organic products and order it whenever you wish, as often or as rarely as you wish.
A basket can be built and edited freely, and costs you nothing while you do. A contract is formed only when you place the order and pay for it at checkout. A basket you have not ordered is never charged: it simply expires at the cutoff — a fixed fortnightly date (the next is 25 October 2026) — and nothing is shipped.
An order placed before a cutoff joins that import run. At the cutoff we place our supplier order to match it, and your order locks — it can no longer be changed, because we import to that exact order.
To make ordering again quick, we keep a payment card on file with our payment processor, Stripe. Having a card on file never causes a charge on its own — it is used only when you place an order.
3. Prices & payment
All prices shown are in pounds sterling (GBP) and, where applicable, include UK VAT. Shipping is charged by weight and shown at checkout before you confirm your basket. We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct, but if a pricing error is obvious we may correct it and will contact you before processing an affected order.
Payment is collected in full via Stripe at the moment you place your order. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
4. Delivery
We aim to deliver locked baskets 2-3 weeks after their cutoff, using third-party couriers. Delivery timescales are estimates, not guaranteed, and may vary with courier volumes or import timing.
5. Cancellations & returns
There is nothing recurring to cancel. You can cancel a placed order for a full refund at any time before its cutoff, and close your account whenever you like, free of charge. Full details of our cancellation and returns policy — including what happens if your order arrives damaged or incorrect — are set out on our Returns & refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
Because our products are food and drink made or imported to order, the statutory 14-day right to cancel a distance-selling contract does not apply once your order has locked at its cutoff and been dispatched, in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This does not affect your right to a refund or replacement for goods that are faulty, damaged, or not as described.
6. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to open an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the accuracy of the delivery and contact information you give us. Let us know straight away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
7. Business accounts
Business accounts are subject to approval, may carry a minimum order value, and receive bulk pricing as shown on our business page. All other terms in this document apply equally to business customers unless stated otherwise.
8. Product information
We describe our products as accurately as we can, but packaging, origin and exact appearance may vary between batches as we import to order. Always check the product packaging itself for the definitive ingredients and allergen information before consuming.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under UK law. Subject to that, our liability to you for losses arising from your use of the site or an order is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant basket.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Complaints
If something's gone wrong, please contact us first — we aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly, usually within one working day.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Continuing to use the site or place orders after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and any disputes will be handled by the Scottish courts, without affecting your right as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
