1. Who we are

World Pantry is operated by Lorenzen Tonna Services Limited, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC602737), registered office at 5 South Charlotte St, Edinburgh EH2 4AN, United Kingdom. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Lorenzen Tonna Services Limited; "you" means anyone who visits our site or is our customer.

We are the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account details — your name, email address and password.
  • Delivery details — shipping address and phone number, used to fulfil and update you on deliveries.
  • Order history — the products in each basket you build, and payment records.
  • Payment information — your card details are collected and stored directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Business account details — for approved business customers, your organisation's name and trading information.
  • Usage data — pages visited and general interactions with our site, collected only if you accept analytics cookies (see section 4).
  • Enquiries — anything you tell us via our contact form or by email.

3. How we use your information

We use your data to:

  • create and manage your account and basket (performance of our contract with you);
  • take payment for baskets you build and confirm, via Stripe (performance of our contract with you);
  • arrange delivery of your order with our courier partners (performance of our contract with you);
  • respond to enquiries and provide customer support (performance of our contract with you / our legitimate interest);
  • meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records for tax and accounting purposes (legal obligation);
  • understand how our site is used, so we can improve it, but only where you've accepted analytics cookies (consent).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.

4. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember what's in your basket — these can't be switched off, as the site won't function without them.

We also use Google Analytics to understand overall site traffic, but only after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you reject or ignore it, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site and reloading the page.

5. Who we share your data with

We share personal data with a small number of trusted processors who help us run the service, and only to the extent needed:

  • Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and card storage.
  • Our delivery courier(s) — your name, address and phone number, to deliver your basket.
  • Google Analytics — anonymised usage statistics, only with your consent.
  • Our hosting and email providers — to run the site and send order/account emails.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA (for example Stripe and Google in the United States); where they do, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations (normally up to 7 years for financial records). If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal data that we no longer need to keep for these reasons.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • ask us to erase your data, subject to our legal obligations;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it (e.g. analytics cookies).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@worldpantry.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

8. Children

Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on our site.
